BRUSSELS: The European Parliament has granted GSP Plus status to Pakistan. 406 parliamentarians expressed their support for Pakistan and the status has been granted till 2017.
GSP PLUS is a formula to improve the economical condition of 3rd world countries. According to this formula the country is exempted of 9.06% tax that is paid on export. Pakistan got 409 votes while only 109 in opposition.
